This zine is dedicated to the celebration of food, desserts, and drinks featuring the Shikomi Residents. It will showcase fan works portraying the residents enjoying food together or individually. We also welcome fan-made recipes and cosplays.

↠ Our zine is intended for digital release and is completely free of charge. Run by fans.❊ What is a finished piece?
↠ Illustrations: fully rendered, 300 dpi, 8" x 10" (2400x3000 pixels) with standard .125 bleed (landscape or portrait). The exact number should be 3.125 per side, but ~3 is fine.
Fics: language as cleaned up as possible, already beta-read, including all tags and content warnings if applicable
Media: file ready to be placed within the zine

Artists: 1 illustration or asset suitable for personal printing
Writers: 1.5k ~ 3k word fic

↠ As a cookbook zine, our theme is all about food, including desserts, and drinks. This can mean scenes of characters eating, recipes dedicated to characters, cosplay of characters with food or food patterned clothes, designs and key-chains of food, and more! Please feel free to explore what food means to you through your love for these characters.❊ What are the criterias used to classify works? Is there going to be a specific theme for the cookbook (ex: sweets or beverages) or nah? Is it going to be only SFW or NSFW included?
↠ Finished pieces mean:
- Fully colored, rendered illustration
- Written work with beginning, middle and end
- Good quality photo/media (up to 8 pieces from the same set)
- Recipe (ingredients, cooktime, steps to follow, storage (if applicable))❊ Are there any limits to the number of contributors you'll accept?
↠ Not at all! We're thrilled to welcome contributions from as many individuals as possible. Additionally, it's absolutely acceptable for a single contributor to submit more than one piece.
There is no set limit on the number of contributors we'll accept. We'll accommodate all the pieces and submissions that are ready as of the going live date.❊ How old do contributors need to be in order to apply?
↠ All applicants must be 18 and above by the time applications open.❊ What is the content rating for the zine?
↠ Our zine accepts both SFW (Safe for Work) and NSFW (Not Safe for Work) content.
To ensure everyone's comfort and accessibility, we will include content warnings before every written work, providing readers with a heads-up about potentially sensitive topics.In the case of NSFW works, they will be grouped toward the end of the .pdf, allowing readers to have control over their exposure. Our aim is to create a balanced environment, allowing individuals to engage with content that aligns with their preferences.❊ Can the zine and/or assets be printed?

Rules
We will use discord to communicate most information and updates, alongside email communications.We want to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all contributors. Bullying between contributors is strictly prohibited, and we encourage individuals who witness any instances of bullying to promptly reach out to the moderators. We take such situations very seriously and will address them accordingly.Respect for everyone's background, identity, pronouns, points of view, and interests is of utmost importance. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards hate speech, callouts, bullying, and any other forms of harmful behavior. Writers are welcome to write any material, as long as it relates to the zine theme and is no more than 3,000 words.All works must come provided with trigger-warnings (if relevant) and specified if they are canon, post-canon, canon divergence, or AU.Cross-overs with other characters or cameos are ok!MEDIA CONTRIBUTOR
You fall under the media contributor umbrella if your work falls under any umbrella other than digital/physical illustration and writing, such as:- Cosplay

Shinkomi Delights Cover Selection CriteriaOctober 2023🍓Points MethodThe mod team* will assign up to five points when reviewing each illustration submitted to be a zine cover. There will be seven sections that can accumulate up to 35 points total.The illustration with the highest score will be the front cover, and the second-highest score will be the back cover.This system was designed because all of the submissions to date are incredibly gorgeous and picking just one for each was truly challenging.
